My passion is the intersection of people and technology: how people can better live, explore and achieve their goals through the use of technology.
Since October 2023, I am privileged to be taking part in the prestigious Computational Neuroscience M.Sc. program of the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience (BCCN) in Berlin.
My last project from scratch was PANION (founded 2020), ABB's first corporate venture. Here I focused on creating an organization that enabled the adoption of e-mobility at a global scale for large fleet operators. I grew the team to over 100 highly skilled and motivated individuals, built software that met the challenge of even our largest global pilot/prospective-customers responding in real-time to the challenges of non-stop operations, and integrated the solution into daily operations of some of the largest supermarket operators in scandinavia.
Before this, I was working on bringing affordable, convenient and sustainable transportation to large cities with COUP (founded 2017) -- a corporate venture of Bosch and considered a pioneer and role-model in door-to-door mobility.
With WunderAgent (founded 2015) I decided the rental and property market in Germany could take advantage of digital technologies and revolutionized the field. If you are looking to buy or sell property, check us out!
Other highlights of my professional carreer include: Programming VR & AR before it was cool; Working for Microsoft and being invited to a BBQ at Bill Gates' house; Building the CouchSurfing travel community as the 3rd employee and CTO; Meeting the nice folks of the world's Space Industry; Living in places as diverse as Mexico, Germany, USA (incl. Alaska), Netherlands, Thailand, Costa Rica, Argentina, Turkey, Indonesia and traveling over 50 countries.
